Patriot Day Ceremony

September 11 was the 22nd anniversary of the terrorist attacks of the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and Downing of an Airliner near Shanksville, PA. The Virginia War Memorial observes the anniversary with a ceremony honoring the victims and first responders. Dr. Clay Mountcastle, director of the Virginia War Memorial gave the presentation as well as keynote speaker Karl S. Leonard, Sheriff of Chesterfield county and Coast Guard combat veteran.
